TRIBE is a unique model of Trauma Informed Care, designed specifically for children who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma.
At its core, TRIBE brings together behavioural science, attachment theory, and a range of therapeutic approaches to create a practical framework for care. It goes beyond traditional training or therapy by offering:
Already used by hundreds of carers, families, and residential homes, TRIBE helps children make sense of their past, manage the impact of trauma, and move toward healthier, more stable futures.

A TRIBE Assessment considers the child's trauma history, their current presentation and needs and pinpoints support to aid them on their path to trauma recovery. Assessments include information from individuals important in the child's life such as parents, carers, school and existing therapists. The support recommended may be in home support, therapeutic intervention or further individualised assessment. There are several assessment types available and they are bespoke to the child.

TRIBE Trauma Informed Care Training is a nine module programme that supports parents, carers and practitioners to integrate Trauma Informed Care into the care and support they provide. The programme is available either as an on site training for organisations or a rolling nine week programme runs online three times per year. When booked for an organisation the course is tailored to the delegate demographic (foster carers, adoptive parents, social care practitioners). The training programme is designed to complement therapeutic support.
The TRIBE Trauma Recovery Framework combined with thorough assessment allows for pinpointing of therapeutic support. Many forms of therapeutic support are mapped onto the framework that can help with specific areas of need including support for parents and therapy for children.

TRIBE is currently used in over 20 childrens residential homes across England and Wales. TRIBE in residential care has been developed specifically for supporting children with highly complex emotional and behavioural needs and working in environments where there are multiple children and multiple carers.
